All small children we know of, love to take a nap in a pulk, and enjoy to be transported around. Also Norwegians use the pulk for younger children that doesn't ski far. Then they can sit in the pulk when they get tired. We have pulk for both 1 an 2 children. The "double pulk" is only recommended for good skiers. Children pulk rental from NOK 250,-

Our transportation pulks are easy to pack, and glide easy in the terrain. They carry a lot of gear! Prices from NOK 225,-

It's a good idea to take a private ski lesson with one of our instructors before you go out on your own. Then you can learn to handle the pulk, and also improve you ski technique. Read more here.

This activity is suited for:

  • Skilled skiers
You should have good controll especially in downhills.

Important!
When skiing with children in pulk:

  • Make sure they are dressed warm, and have a good sleeping bag.
  • Make sure there is good isolation towards the ground in the pulk.
Norwegians like to use a sleeping mat and a sheep skin as a "mattress", a soft and warm solution. But other solutions works fine.
  • Make sure you check that your children are comfortable in the pulk. Not too cold and not too warm.
  • It's wise to keep the first tours short, 1-2 hours to find out how your child react to the pulk
  • Don't go out with small children in bad weather conditions.
  • Go easy, so the ride is comfortable for the child.
  • Be careful in downhills! The pulk makes you a lot heavier than without, and therefore harder to break.
